Tonbridge dropped into the Skrill South relegation zone this week – and manager Tommy Warrilow believes they’ve only got themselves to blame.

A host of missed chances at Dorchester came back to haunt the Angels on Tuesday night when the league’s bottom side scored in the 86th minute to win 2-1 after Mark Lovell had put Tonbridge in front.

That followed a 3-0 reverse at Hayes three days earlier, when Warrilow felt his side gifted the hosts their first two goals.

Warrilow said: “It’s ridiculous. It’s just not happening at the moment.

“It was a poor result (at Dorchester) but we should have been out of sight with the number of crosses we put into the box. We had chance after chance and then the inevitable happened. It’s an unforgiving league, whoever you’re playing.

“I don’t care what anyone says, no-one’s given us a good hiding or opened us up. It’s always down to us not taking our chances when we create them, or letting in sloppy goals.

“It’s negative around the place. When you lose to Dorchester, that’s to be expected. Everyone thinks you’ll go to the bottom side and roll them over.”
