Winger Rory Hill has left Maidstone United to join Merstham

Rory Hill has linked up with former Maidstone team-mate Fabio Saraiva at Merstham.
Popular winger Hill was asked to prove his fitness to earn a new deal at Stones after a series of injuries.
He featured in the pre-season friendly win over Dagenham last week but has decided to move on.
Boss Jay Saunders said: “Rory played against Dagenham and felt the deal should have been on the table there and then.
“I’ve never had a problem with Rory’s ability. It’s just that you’d get four or five games out of him and then he’d be injured or ill.
“I said he’d need to do well for five games and there’d be a deal but he didn’t want to wait.
“It’s one of them where the offer from Merstham was already in place and it’s on his doorstep.
“I’m disappointed because I’ve got a lot of time for him.
“He was unlucky with injuries and illness, particularly when his appendix went. He did well for us when he was fit and he’d come back at the drop of a hat.”
