Maidstone goalkeeper Lee Worgan confident Alex Flisher's immediate future remains at the Gallagher Stadium ahead of FA Cup tie with Welling United

Interest in Alex Flisher will grow if he leads Maidstone United into the FA Cup first round – but keeper Lee Worgan reckons he’s going nowhere.
Flisher, 22, is in the form of his life with 11 goals in his last 13 games and Stones need him to fire if they are to upset Vanarama Conference Welling in the final qualifying round on Saturday.
Keeper Worgan was unsure about Flisher when he joined United, but is happy to admit he was wrong.
He said: “Flisher’s getting a lot of scouts coming to watch him. There’s a lot of serious interest. He’s a player I played against before coming to the club. Everyone was raving about him but I wasn’t sure.
"I’m happy to swallow my words and say he’s the one player that if he’s not playing, you really notice. He has bundles of energy, he’s chipping in with goals now and he has that long throw.
“I’m making him sound like a Premier League player but he has been fantastic. I just hope we can keep hold of him at least until the end of the season.
“I don’t see why he couldn’t play in the League. He’s got all the tools. Personally I couldn’t see him wanting to leave, let alone actually signing for anyone else. He’s Maidstone through and through."
In the event of a draw, the replay will take place at Park View Road on Tuesday (7.45pm).
But if neither club have FA Cup commitments, United will travel to Bromley in the first round of the Kent Senior Cup.
