Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow was left with mixed feelings after seeing his two star players leave the club this week.
Goalkeeper Lee Worgan and striker Frannie Collin rejected new deals at Longmead and Worgan has already signed for local rivals Maidstone.
Collin, who joined Angels from Dover in 2010, scored more than 20 goals in each of his three seasons as a Tonbridge player.
Meanwhile, former Wales under-21 international Worgan saw his stock rise rapidly during his five-year stay in west Kent.
Warrilow said: "I’d like to think we’ve done a good job at Tonbridge because no-one had heard of Worgs prior to coming to us. Frannie got released by Dover, he came to us and made a name for himself as one of the top goalscorers in non-league.
"Worgs has an exceptional reputation now, as has Frannie. He was Conference South player of the year and won the golden boot last year so it shows we’re doing something right."
Tonbridge have already replaced Worgan by signing goalkeeper Clark Masters from Havant & Waterlooville.
