Tonbridge picked up their first points of the season with an impressive win over much-fancied Chelmsford on Monday.

Tommy Warrilow's side lost their first three games in The Skrill South but they were good value for this victory at Longmead.

Luke Blewden shot wide for the hosts before Angels keeper Clark Masters saved Jeff Goulding's header at the other end.

Six minutes before half-time, Henry Muggeridge put Tonbridge in front with a 20-yard strike which flew past former Gills goalkeeper Tommy Forecast.

They repelled Chelmsford pressure after the interval and doubled their lead on 83 minutes. Nathan Green headed Blewden's cross back across goal and Lee Browning was on hand to drive the ball home.

Sonny Miles was sent off for handball late on and Bertie Brayley scored the resulting penalty but it was no more than a consolation.
