Competitors from Maidstone Swimming Club showed impressive form as they returned to action after their recent success at the Kent Championships.
In the first gala of the Medway Championships, Abbie Outram, Freja Ekstrom and Hannah Murphy finished as cup winners in the girls’ 400m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
Romeo Ball and Alfie Gomer also both won gold, with Harrison Wilkins, Lanre Thien Dada and Harry Baster taking bronze in the butterfly.
Elise Butler, Olivia Quiller, Emilia Narkevic, Chenai Chaza and Murphy claimed gold, with Calli Ramsay and Kahlen Arundell taking silver, and Lucinda Spallek-Puttacharoen, Isabelle May, Olivia Cooley, Isla Healy and Amy Conner finishing with bronze in the backstroke.
Junior squad members travelled to Crook Log, Bexleyheath, for the First Round of the Kent Junior League where - for many of the younger swimmers - this was the first time they had taken part in a gala.
Swimmers also took part in the BLSC Regional Chaser at Medway Park.
With strong competition from other clubs, swimmers gained new personal-best times and regional times.
