One highlight for Maidstone on Tuesday night was a debut for academy prospect Rhys Bartlett.
The teenager replaced Zavon Hines in the 79th minute of United's 4-0 National League defeat by Boreham Wood.
It was a big moment for the youngster to take the place of a former Premier League player and he did himself justice.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "Rhys has probably been the best player in the academy this year.
"I've been really pleased with him and he came on and showed a couple of good little touches.
"He's someone I think very highly of. It's nice for him to get a little run.
"He's quite a level-headed kid, I'm just gutted that I've had to give him his debut in those circumstances.
"But Zav wasn't 100% so it's a case of when you're 4-0 down it's pointless Zav doing a full 90. We might as well take him off and it's a good bit of experience for Rhys."
