Blair Turgott has told Maidstone fans they have seen only 50% of what he can do.
Turgott at his best is a frightening prospect for National League defenders and the winger is ready to deliver.
He's had a good pre-season, scoring in wins against Nottingham Forest and Dulwich, and can't wait to get at Hartlepool on Saturday.
The former West Ham youngster had a frustrating 2017-18 campaign, arriving at the Gallagher in February after spells with Stevenage in League 2 and then Boreham Wood.
He played his part in United's survival but intends to have a far bigger impact this season.
Turgott said: "Last season supporters only saw a snippet of me.
"Before I joined Maidstone, I didn't have much game time and, as such, I was still getting up to speed.
"When I came to Maidstone they saw probably 50% of what I can do.
"When I'm really up for it I know I can win us games in this division.
"I'm going to help my team-mates to the best of my ability, be a threat on the ball and get us some goals and entertain the crowds.
"I feel fit, I feel, I feel ready. Obviously, in the off-season I tried to stay active, to give myself an edge and a head-start.
"I took it upon myself to really work hard and give myself the best possible chance of coming back in to help my team-mates.
"Thankfully it's worked out but I'm not getting ahead of myself because it's just pre-season.
"It's served its purpose by getting me up to speed but the season starts now and this is when the serious work really does kick in.”
Turgott has Andre Coker, Jamar Loza and Jack Richards for competition in wide areas.
It leaves Jay Saunders and his new assistant, Steve Watt, with some big decisions to make on team selection.
But that can only be a good thing, according to Turgott, who is excited by the club’s transfer activity.
He said: “If you look at the squad, the dynamics have changed.
“We're a youthful team with a lot of energy. That's the way the gaffer and Watty want us to play.
“With the way we are going to play, we do need rotation in positions and I think it keeps everyone on their toes when everyone's fighting for the shirt.
“You've got to prove yourself to keep it for the next game."
