Matt Bodkin is the latest player to sign a new deal at Maidstone United.

The former Margate winger has been handed a one-year contract after an impressive first season at the Gallagher Stadium.

Stones boss Jay Saunders: "He's been very good for us - it was a no-brainer to give him another contract.

"I like what he offers us with his pace and how direct he is and his experience of Conference South will be a big asset to us.

"He had a little dip when we left him out but he was back to his best when he got back in.

"Sometimes that happens with players but he got his head down and showed good attitude."
