Alex Brown had no hesitation in agreeing a new deal at hometown club Maidstone.
Midfielder Brown signed a one-year contract at the Gallagher Stadium on Tuesday night as United prepare for National South.
He was in and out of Jay Saunders' team last season but there's nowhere else he'd rather be.
Brown said: "I'm buzzing after the season we've had.
"It's exciting when it's your hometown club and you see all those people there. The atmosphere is ledge.
"There are other places where you might play more but this is a much better club.
"I hadn't had a chance to think about going elsewhere I and didn't want to go elsewhere. I'm lucky to be staying."
Brown is confident Maidstone will handle National South after winning the Ryman League Premier Division.
He added: "The team is capable of playing that standard anyway - we showed that in the FA Cup against teams from higher divisions - but Jay will add a few players to strengthen us even more."
