Alex Flisher is refusing to give up on the National League South title.
Ebbsfleet are 12 points clear at the top but Maidstone have two games in hand and the fight goes on.
The pressure is all on Fleet as title favourites and if they start to feel it, the door could be open for both Sutton and the Stones, who are separated by goal difference.
Maidstone winger Flisher said: “Hopefully we can kick on and not have too many games called off, because that’s been our downfall lately.
“If we’re playing week in, week out, we can hopefully either catch Ebbsfleet or cement a good place in the play-offs.
“The budget Ebbsfleet have got and the players they’ve signed, you’ve got to expect them to win the league.
“Sometimes money doesn’t win you the league but at this level, it guarantees you a place near the top.”
Flisher hopes to be fit for the final 15 games after recovering from tight hamstrings.
He marked only his second substitute appearance since before Christmas by scoring an injury-time winner against Gosport last weekend.
