Maidstone United have turned George Fowler's loan move from Aldershot into a permanent deal.
Fowler's month-long loan expired after Tuesday night's 3-2 win at Ebbsfleet.
Stones boss Hakan Hayrettin described the centre-half's contribution as "immense" and confirmed they were trying to extend his loan.
But they've been able to go a step further, with the former Ipswich youngster now a Maidstone player.
That's great news for Hayrettin, who has seen captain George Elokobi (hip) join Joe Ellul (ankle) on the sidelines in recent weeks.
Fowler has impressed alongside young Raphe Brown, who is rapidly growing into a central role after switching from left-back, and is delighted to get the deal done.
"I'm over the moon," he told Stones TV. "Obviously initially I came here on a one-month loan and the aim was to go back but I enjoyed my time that much that it's led to a permanent deal."
Meanwhile, striker Alfie Pavey has gone out on loan to National League strugglers Dover.
