Former Gillingham and Ebbsfleet winger Jermaine McGlashan has joined Maidstone after returning to the UK.
The 33-year-old spent last season in Cyprus with second-tier club Akritas Chlorakas following a brief spell at Stonebridge Road.
He’s been training at the Gallagher Stadium this summer and, with international clearance in place, has agreed deal with United.
“We’ll take it month by month,” said Stones boss Hakan Hayrettin.
“He’s come in and trained and I’ve been impressed by his enthusiasm.
“He wants to win and he’s got experience - and you can never have enough of that.
"I didn’t know him personally, he asked to come in through one of the staff here, but he’s a really good lad.
“I’m pleased with how the squad’s looking.”
McGlashan joined Gillingham from Cheltenham in 2014, and spent two seasons at Priestfield before signing for Southend.
A spell at Swindon followed, with loan moves to Wrexham and Chesterfield, before finishing the curtailed 2019/20 season at Fleet.
He had several options in England last summer but went to Cyprus to stay in full-time football, speaking about the move in an interview with KentOnline.
