Racing driver Tom Jackson hopes to finish in the top three of the Duo BRDC Formula 4 championship in 2015 after confirming his return to the series.
The 18-year-old, who will race for the Chris Dittmann Racing team, competed with the same squad last season and hopes to fight for race wins.
Jackson, from Chart Sutton, Maidstone, took part in all but two of the eight rounds in 2014, claiming a pole position at Oulton Park and achieving a best race result of fifth place.
He also gained the most places of any driver during races throughout the season as he improved from round-to-round.
Jackson said: “I can’t wait to get back out in the BRDC Formula 4 car this year.
“We have established a very strong working relationship with Chris Dittmann Racing and when I drove the car again at Brands Hatch, it was really fast.
“Since the end of last season I’ve been working really hard on my fitness and feel ready for the year ahead.
“The knowledge that both I, and the team, learnt last year will put me in a great position to fight for race wins and be in the top three of the championship.”
Prior to racing in BRDC F4, Jackson competed in the Ginetta Junior Championship for two years, finishing fifth overall in the 2013 standings.
He secured his drive for the season after an impressive performance at the MSVR media day, held at Brands Hatch last Wednesday.
Team principal Chris Dittmann added: “We are delighted to have Tom back in the car for another year.
“His progress in 2014 was outstanding and we can’t wait to continue our strong working relationship into 2015.”
