Jamar Loza’s international ambitions are on hold while he plots Maidstone’s survival.
Loza has four caps for Jamaica and his Stones form must be catching the eye after six goals in his last three games, including his first hat-trick at Woking.
He’s feeling good but hasn’t thought about another call-up, having last played for his country three years ago.
Loza said: “I’m not thinking about that at the minute.
“I’m just trying to concentrate on the next eight games and make sure we stay in the league.
“The last few games I’ve been going out expecting to score, which helps and gives me confidence in front of goal to shoot when I get a chance instead of passing.”
Loza is more confident than ever that Maidstone will stay in the National League after their seven-match unbeaten run.
He added: “We don’t fear any team. Obviously we show them the respect they deserve but we go out now expecting to win, which we should because we’ve got a great team.
“We shouldn’t be where we are but we need to make sure the last eight games we put in the performances like we did at Woking, especially the second half.”
