Justin Amaluzor is keeping a secret and it could mean bad news for the rest of the National League South.
Amaluzor finished pre-season with a hat-trick as Maidstone beat Southend under-23s 4-0 last weekend.
He intends to take that form into the new season but the winger is keeping his goal target under wraps.
Amaluzor said: "I started scoring goals towards the end of last season and that's what I want to do, just keep scoring goals and winning games.
"That's the point - we're trying to jump back up to the next division.
"Goals are my personal aim but winning is the main aim.
"I've got a target in my head but I'm not going to say it.
"We've got a lot of pace in the team and I think it will be frightening in this league.
"I think we'll cause a lot of teams problems - I know we will."
Amaluzor is one of three survivors from last season as Maidstone built a new squad for National League South.
John Still promised big changes but Amaluzor didn't realise quite what United's head of football had in store.
He said: "I didn't think it would be that drastic because you don't really want to scratch.
"I didn't expect this many changes - no way - but they couldn't have brought in a better bunch of lads.
"We've had a month of pre-season and it's mad how quickly we've gelled.
"If we take that on to the pitch we've nothing to worry about at all. That's what I think anyway.
"We're more ready than we've ever been."
Maidstone open at home to Southern League champions Weymouth on Saturday.
They're a new name to Amaluzor but he knows United won't have it easy.
He said: "I know they won the league below but we're going to be prepared.
"We've got to be hungry because they will be hungry coming here."
