Wealdstone v Maidstone United

Alan Walker and Lloyd Hume will preach the merits of consistency ahead of Maidstone's match at Wealdstone on Saturday where the side need to build on last weekend’s 2-0 defeat of Tooting and Mitcham.

"We have developed an unfortunate knack of letting our standards slip after playing well," said joint-manager Walker.

"While we’re all disappointed to have gone out of both cup competitions, we came off the back of those two games and played well.

"What we need is to go on a run and maintain a level of consistency which, I believe, the Ryman Premier League demands if you’re going to be successful.

"You only have to look at the leaders Dover and see where consistency can take you."

Roland Edge returns to contention at Wealdstone after serving a one-match suspension.

Maidstone return to Bourne Park on Tuesday when high-flying Carshalton are the visitors.
