Maidstone Rugby Club will take a big step towards the London 2 South East title if they win at second-placed Medway.
A bonus-point victory on Saturday would move Maidstone 15 points clear of their closest rivals with only seven games left.
Paul Hathaway’s side have already beaten Medway in the league and Intermediate Cup this season and having hit new heights in a Kent Cup success at National League Westcombe Park last weekend, Maidstone are expected to maintain their 100% record.
Coach Hathaway said: “We’re under no illusions it will be a tough game but we’re confident.
“The reality is that we’ve played Medway twice in different circumstances – once on a dry pitch and once on a sticky pitch – and won both. Medway have to figure out a way to beat us.
“If we’re optimistic and say we’re going to get a bonus-point victory, that would leave them 15 points behind and they’d have to win four more games than us to go above us.
“Our aim is to go undefeated in league and cup. We set out to be involved in two cup finals and win the league.
“We saw the Westcombe Park game as a milestone in terms of judging our playing ability and we came out on the right side.”
