Maidstone continued their National League survival push by coming from behind to win for the second week running.
They trailed to an early Barrow free-kick but goals from Joe Pigott and Stuart Lewis settled an excellent game and made it eight matches unbeaten.
An action-packed first half featured plenty of chances, mainly for Maidstone, but play-off contenders Barrow had their moments.
Stones, with Alex Flisher looking lively down the left, started well but fell behind in the ninth minute.
A free-kick was awarded near the corner of the area with Paul Turnbull catching out Lee Worgan at the near post, the Stones captain perhaps expecting a cross.
Worgan got down to keep out Richie Bennett, Jordan Williams wasted a good chance as Stones stood waiting for an offside flag, while Danny Livesey hit the post with a header after Moussa Diarra met a Turnbull cross as Barrow had chances to extend their lead.
With Flisher continuing to look dangerous and Lewis, Reece Prestedge and Jack Paxman getting more and more into the game, most of the pressure came from Maidstone against a hardworking outfit.
Last week’s hat-trick hero Jamar Loza fired just wide of the far post after cutting inside from Pigott’s pass, then Paxman had a volley blocked in the six-yard box and seconds later hit the post after swapping passes with Flisher.
Three chances followed in a matter of seconds, with Tom Mills involved in the lot as Pigott had two shots blocked before Prestedge’s strike was brilliantly tipped past the post.
There was no denying Pigott in the final minute of the half, though, taking a touch and finishing nicely after the ball dropped in the box.
Pigott’s attempted lob was pushed on to the post by Jon Flatt as Stones threatened again early in the second half, then the keeper parried Paxman’s fierce strike.
Maidstone were all over the visitors and went in front on 62 minutes with Lewis rewarded for his sheer determination in beating the Barrow defence to the ball in the six-yard box.
It was the first Stones goal scored in front of the new North Stand and the noise was something else.
Flisher curled inches over, then Loza hit the keeper when sent through with just over 10 minutes left.
That wasn’t the end of the action, with Loza’s strike headed off the line with the keeper grounded and Paxman’s follow-up well saved.
