Manny Parry won't sulk after losing his place in the Maidstone United team.
Former Stoke City scholar Parry was ever-present before the arrival of Callum Davies from Gillingham at Christmas.
Instead of moaning about being on the bench, the big is defender enjoying the challenge of trying to win his shirt back.
He said: "The first person you look at when you're dropped is yourself.
"I can't blame the gaffer. I hold my hands up and say I wasn't at my best for a couple of games.
"No player likes being on the bench but it's going to happen.
"Competition is high and you've got to be at your best every time you play.
"Callum's played in the league, he's got that experience, and you can see when he gets going in training what a good player he is.
"I'm not one for moping around. If anything, Callum coming in is making me train even harder to try and push him and he's there to push me.
"At the end of the day we're both here for one thing and that is to try and get the club promoted."
