Boss Steve McKimm isn’t ruling out a title push for in-form Tonbridge.
Angels beat Grays 4-1 last Saturday and Enfield 3-0 on Tuesday to go fourth in the Ryman League, Premier Division.
They’re only seven points behind leaders Bognor after six wins and two draws in their last nine league games.
There are still 13 games to go and while clinching a play-off place is the priority, Angels have to keep looking up.
McKimm, whose side go to Kingstonian on Saturday, said: “My aim for the players was to try and get fifth, which they got, and Tuesday night I told them to get fourth by beating Enfield and they got that, too. The next aim is to get third.
“Each time we play we’re looking to get points to catch the team above.
“If we aren’t good enough, we aren’t good enough but we’ve got to keep trying to catch the team in front and not look behind because that will take care of itself.”
Tom Phipp, Alex Akrofi’s double and a late goal from Andre McCollin, back from long-term injury, saw Angels to a big victory over Grays.
They won again at Longmead in midweek, with Nathan Elder, Luke Allen and Jack Parter scoring against Enfield as McKimm’s men opened up a seven-point gap over sixth-placed Wingate in the play-off race.
Defender Sonny Miles is back in training after a shoulder operation in December but won’t be rushed back.
