Maidstone have signed winger Tom Murphy on a one-year deal following his release by Dover.
Murphy, a goalscoring wideman who loves running at players, spent three seasons with Whites after joining his old Margate boss Chris Kinnear at Crabble.
The former Gillingham scholar arrives at the Gallagher hungry to rediscover his best form after an indifferent final campaign with Dover in the National League.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “He’s someone we’ve been aware of for the last couple of seasons and obviously when we saw that he’d left Dover, he was of interest to us.
“Tom’s only 24 but he’s played at this level and knows what it’s about.
“He’ll tell you, by his own standards, he had a mixed season last year with injury and different things.
“The season before he had a very good season and a good return.
“He gives us good options out wide, up front, he’s a good age and with that little bit of desire to go out and get back to where he was.
“Hopefully we can help him do that and he can help us as well.”
Murphy can’t wait to get started with the National League new-boys.
He said: “It’s going to be exciting for everyone. There’s some big clubs, there’s some big grounds you go to but I don’t think there’s anything to fear.
“I’ve played and seen what’s in this league the last two years and I think the squad we’re assembling here are capable of doing well.”
