Maidstone had Jack Evans sent off before half-time but were still too strong for North Ferriby on Saturday afternoon.
United took an early lead through Liam Enver-Marum and were well on top when last-man Evans was sent off just before the break.
Alex Flisher doubled the lead early in the second half and the 10 men comfortably kept the Yorkshiremen at arm’s length to complete a third National League away win.
Enver-Marum was rewarded with a first start after coming off the bench to score the equaliser against Wrexham last weekend.
The hardworking striker tried his luck inside 30 seconds as Stones made a flying start, fizzing a strike wide of Rory Watson’s far post.
Flisher saw a fierce effort parried from 12 yards, with an Evans cross crying out for a finish soon after as Maidstone dominated.
North Ferriby’s a quaint little village and the home side were in the same mould, just a very pleasant team to play against, affording United as much room as they wanted.
A goal looked a matter of time and it arrived in the 11th minute.
Jack Paxman started the move in his own half, finding Tom Murphy who picked out the overlapping run of Mills.
The Stones full-back continued his run before squaring for Enver-Marum who swept home first time from 12 yards.
Bobby-Joe Taylor went close to a second as the hosts continued to stand off then a slip by Mark Gray allowed Enver-Marum through, Watson denying him at the near post.
North Ferriby started to get into the game but with Maidstone defending sensibly, they barely mustered a shot.
Their hopes were raised when Evans was dismissed two minutes before half-time, catching Reece Thompson on the edge of the box as the home striker raced on to a Connor Oliver long ball.
Ferriby piled on the pressure before the break, Gray close with a header from a corner.
Murphy made way at half-time as Reece Hall-Johnson came on to fill Evans’ right-back spot.
The 10 men doubled their lead on 49 minutes, Flisher with a brilliant turn and low strike from the edge of the box after a corner.
Kevin Lokko’s thumping header from a Taylor corner was well saved by Watson soon after as Maidstone went close to a third.
Saunders’ side were working hard and you’d never have known they were a player down, restricting Ferriby and continuing to look a threat on the break.
Ferriby thought they were back in the game when Simon Russell’s shot was turned into his own net by Lokko but the linesman’s flag was up for offside.
Flisher did well to work to barge his way past the Ferriby defence moving into the last 10 minutes, thumping wide from a diffcult angle.
Worgan made his only save of the afternoon to keep out Gray’s injury-time header as United finished a job well done with a clean sheet.
There was still time for Stones substitute Nathan Mavila to play in Flisher but he blasted over.
