As FA Cup experiences go, walking out at Old Trafford will take some beating.
But Bobby-Joe Taylor is out to make some new memories after helping Maidstone reach the first round for the second year running.
He scored the late clincher as United won 2-0 at Chippenham to set up a home tie against League 2 Yeovil next month.
Winger Taylor reached the fourth round with Cambridge last season and was on the bench for their replay against Manchester United.
The U’s held Louis van Gaal’s side to a goalless draw at the Abbey Stadium, losing the second game 3-0 in front of 75,000 fans.
The qualifying rounds were a new experience for Taylor after last season’s run.
He said: “It’s different because at Cambridge you go straight into the first round and I was fortunate enough to play in the second round.
“Old Trafford was completely different – it’s the Theatre of Dreams.
“That was a real eye-opener and you look at yourself and say anyone would love to walk out there every Saturday.
“At the same time, going through these rounds you experience everything.”
