FA Cup hero Jack Parkinson knew Maidstone would beat his old club Welling.
Midfielder Parkinson opened the scoring as Stones pulled off a fourth qualifying round upset against Vanarama Conference Wings.
United will learn their opponents in the first round proper when the draw is made live on BBC2 on Monday night (7pm).
Parkinson said: "Welling are a very good team but I genuinely felt we were going to beat them.
"We didn't play the most attractive football but when you've got Alex Flisher, who can throw the ball the width of the pitch, and players like Steve Watt, Sonny Miles and Jamie Coyle who can get on the end of it, then why not play to your strengths?
"Me and Lee Worgan (Stones keeper) were texting on Sunday and we both said we don't feel like we're going to lose a game at the minute.
"There's so much experience in our side and confidence is so high that we go into every game feeling we can beat anyone.
"We're not going to win every game but it feels like we will."
Welling boss Jamie Day criticised United's 3G pitch but Parkinson wasn't about to condemn his former manager.
He said: "Jamie's a proper football person and I've got a lot of time for him. He's done wonders at Welling.
"We were physically too strong for them on the day and created a hell of a lot of chances.
"Jamie will be disappointed they've been intimidated by a team like us but I hope for their sake they go on a good run in the league because I'd hate to see them relegated."
