Maidstone United new boy Manny Parry can't get enough of defending.

There's something old-school about the 21-year-old centre-half who has joined from Grays on a one-year deal.

The former Millwall and Stoke man said: "I love defending - I really love defending.

"I'm strong in the air, a good athlete, I've got a bit of pace and I like to keep things simple.

"If the manager wants me to play out from the back I can do that too but my focus is on defending and keeping clean sheets, just like a striker's focus is on scoring goals."
