Larkfield & New Hythe manager Danny Lye has resigned with the club fighting for back-to-back promotions.
He steps down due to “personal and professional commitments” and is succeeded by assistant boss Micky Phillips.
The Larks are fourth in the Southern Counties East Premier Division after winning promotion via the Division 1 play-offs last season.
Lye will stay on in an advisory role but passes the managerial reins to Phillips, his former Maidstone United team-mate.
A club statement said: “Due to personal and professional commitments, Danny Lye has made the difficult decision to step down as manager of Larkfield & New Hythe FC.
“The board, players, and fans extend their deepest gratitude to Danny for his outstanding leadership, which culminated in our promotion to the SCFEL Premier last season.
“We are pleased to announce that Danny will remain actively involved with Larkfield & New Hythe FC in an advisory role, continuing to provide invaluable guidance.
“We are delighted to confirm that assistant manager Micky Philips has accepted the position to step up as manager, with club captain Fraser Walker taking on the additional role of player-assistant manager.
“The board believes no further changes are needed for now as we continue our pursuit of a successful season and build towards an exciting future, including the move to our new stadium in 2026.”
Phillips takes charge for the first time when the Larks host Bearsted on Tuesday night.
