Builders will be working around the clock to get Maidstone's capacity up to 3,000 for the FA Cup first-round match against Yeovil.
Stones have made the tie against League 2 Glovers a segregated all-ticket game.
Capacity as it stands is 2,363 but United are hopeful the Gallagher Stadium will be finished in time to accommodate a record crowd.
Contractors need to complete new turnstiles and a stairwell at the Library End of the ground.
The tie will be played over the weekend of November 6-8.
Chief executive Bill Williams said: "Our workload has just gone through the roof but it’s an extremely exciting time for everyone involved with the club.
"We began planning the match today and have the experience of last year’s replay against Stevenage to look back on.
"The big plus, if the contractors are able to complete the works, is that we will be able to sell up to 3,000 tickets.
"That will create an excellent atmosphere and a new attendance record here at the Gallagher Stadium.”
Stones will announce ticket details when a date for the tie has been confirmed.
Season ticket holders will have priority, followed by Maidstone United Fan Club members, with the remainder on general sale.
Yeovil have been allocated 400 tickets.
