A last-minute own goal by Will De Havilland saw Maidstone beaten by Maidenhead in the early kick-off.
The Stones trailed early on but Blair Turgott’s double, including a penalty, put them on course for victory.
Adrian Clifton levelled and Maidenhead pinched their first win of the season when De Havilland put through his own net.
Maidstone, unchanged from their win over Barrow, were behind inside two minutes.
Maidenhead attacked down the left with Max Worsfold’s cross headed home by Ryan Upward.
Maidstone took time to clear their heads and it was all a bit untidy as the hosts looked to build on their early goal.
But around the quarter-hour mark the visitors started to get on the ball, taking the sting out of Maidenhead.
Jay Saunders’ men began to dominate possession, with Jack Paxman, Ollie Muldoon and Stuart Lewis all getting on the ball in midfield.
The left-hand side looked to be a source of joy with Seth Nana Twumasi able to play high up the pitch in support of Coker.
That said, bar a blocked Paxman shot from Coker’s pass, it wasn’t really happening.
Maidenhead worked their way back into it with Lee Worgan alert to Adrian Clifton’s early shot and Jordan Wynter throwing himself in the way of Ryan Bird’s goalbound strike.
Maidstone, though, levelled in first-half injury time.
Quick thinking from Paxman made the goal, rolling a free-kick into path of Turgott who buried the chance.
The half-time whistle went seconds later.
Maidstone took the lead in the 57th minute.
Referee Sam Purkiss gave handball against the impressive Harold Odametey from Twumasi’s cross and while the Magpies weren’t happy, Turgott sent Carl Pentney the wrong way from the spot.
Twumasi’s 30-yard drive flashed wide soon after, while substitute Josh Kelly might have made more of a header at the other end.
The hosts then had a penalty appeal waved away after Muldoon blocked Clifton’s shot and moments later Shamir Mullings saw a header ruled out for a push from Turgott’s corner.
Maidstone were looking fairly comfortable but they were pegged back on 77 minutes.
It was one to forget for Wynter whose poor clearance gifted the ball to the hosts and he then backed off as Clifton fired across Worgan.
Late Maidenhead pressure eventually paid off as Rene Steer thrashed the ball across goal and it went in off De Havilland.
