Maidstone's on-loan Blackburn defender Jack Doyle is showing his quality.
Doyle, 21, has impressed in all three games since moving south from Championship club Rovers.
The left-back is with United for three months and already making his mark.
He said: "I could have stayed with the 23s at Blackburn but I felt I needed to get out again and get games under my belt until January.
“It’s started well so hopefully it continues.
“I’ve watched a few Salford games in this league and I thought I would test myself and see what it’s about.
“We'll see how it goes but when the three months are up it would be good to go back to Blackburn and assess my options.
“I want to try and get as high I can. I’ve put the work in over the years but it’s been up and down, like everything.
“I’m confident in myself and my ability that I can to get where I want to be.
“It’s important to still be humble and graft every day.
“At the end of the day you’ll get where you want to be if you keep putting the work in."
It's the second loan spell of Doyle's career having spent time with Derry City in the League of Ireland Premier Division last season.
He said: "People underestimate that league. It’s a very good league and people get moves from there.
“A lad I was with at Derry, Ronan Curtis, is at Portsmouth now and doing really well there. He’s been called up to the Ireland squad, too.
“There’s very good players in that league. I would recommend anyone to go over there.
“It’s a good springboard to go and test yourself and prove yourself."
