Maidstone boss Jay Saunders is considering whether to stick with his three-man attack.

The front two of Jay May and Billy Bricknell, with Frannie Collin playing in behind, caused plenty of problems in the Ryman League Premier Division win against Billericay last weekend.

Whether it’s the way to go at struggling Harrow on Saturday is another matter.

Saunders said: “If I think it’s going to work playing all three of them then I’ll stick with it, but then you think about Matt Bodkin coming on and looking sharp against Billericay and realise how many options we have.

“It might be that we go 4-5-1 in some away games, like we did at Canvey. We’ve got the players to play a few different systems – it’s nice to have options.

“Three up front suits Frannie because it gives him more of a free role. He’s restricted in a two and is marked tight where teams know what he can do. When he’s deeper, he gives us something extra.”

Craig Stone is set to start at right-back after United extended his loan from Dover into a second month, although Whites do have an option to call him back.

James Rogers is expected to shake off a knock to start in midfield, so the only other decision facing Saunders is whether to play Sonny Miles or Jamie Coyle in place of suspended captain Steve Watt.
