Maidstone United have the chance to upset Football League opposition in the FA Cup for the second year running.

They'll host League 2 strugglers Yeovil - a Championship club only two seasons ago - in the first round over the weekend of November 6-8.

Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "I was sitting there watching the draw as the league clubs were going and thinking 'oh no, we're going to end up with a non-league side.'

"At this stage you want a league club and to be at home is a big bonus.

"Yeovil are a good club. They've obviously had a tough couple of years with back-to-back relegations but they're a league club for a reason and it will be difficult for us."

Saunders and assistant Nicky Southall were only talking about Yeovil two days earlier, when sat on the bench at Chippenham for Stones' fourth qualifying round win.

Boss Saunders added: "It's funny. Chippenham have a slope and it got us talking about the big slope at Yeovil's old ground.

"We were saying how nice their new ground is and what a good club it is. Now we've gone and drawn them."

Maidstone and Yeovil are old non-league rivals and also met in the FA Cup in 1989 when Mark Gall and Warren Barton gave Keith Peacock's side a 2-1 victory.
