Maidstone players have been challenged to respond to their first defeat of the season when they face a Kingstonian side who are yet to concede a goal.
Boss Jay Saunders was angered by the performance as Stones lost 1-0 at Margate on Bank Holiday Monday but they have a chance to put things right against the Ryman League Premier Division leaders at the Gallagher Stadium on Saturday.
Saunders said: “It’s important we pick ourselves up and there’s no better game than Kingstonian.
"They’re top of the table without conceding a goal in six games. These are the games you want as a player when you’re looking to put things right after a bad day.
“It’s going to be tough but everyone will be motivated without needing to be told they owe a performance.
“Our aim was to try and go 10 games unbeaten. It hasn’t happened but if you’d offered me one defeat in six, I’d have taken that.”
Midfielders Alex Brown (groin) and Fabio Saraiva (knee) have been struggling but winger Orlando Smith is available after missing the Margate defeat.
