East Thurrock 2 Maidstone 4

IAN SELLEY struck twice as Maidstone secured a much-needed victory at East Thurrock in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Selley opened the scoring in the 11th minute before adding a second from the penalty spot on 36 minutes.

East Thurrock hit back and levelled the game with goals from Max Cornhill and Steve West either side of half-time.

But the Stones were not to be denied and two goals in four minutes just after the hour mark from Alex Tiesse and Chris Smalling gave them victory.
