A local band who have been hitting the headlines for all the right reasons since their formation two years ago have appeared alongside U2 on Later... With Jools Holland.
Slaves — made up of Laurie Vincent, from Maidstone, and Isaac Holman, of Tunbridge Wells — appeared on the live version of BBC Two's popular late night music show on Tuesday and will also be on tonight's extended version.
Performing alongside global stars U2 and Sam Smith the two-piece punk band, who hail from Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, performed their latest single 'Hey' to rapturous applause and even began to trend on Twitter.

It was something of a homecoming for Laurie as the show is filmed in New Cut Road's Maidstone Studios.
The former Oakwood Park pupil said: "It was mind blowing. We have had the most insane reaction that none of us were prepared for.
"As a last minute addition, we only found out three days before that we would be on the show. It was a dream come true."
The pair have already enjoyed phenomenal success this year, signing to major label Virgin EMI Records, appearing at Reading and Leeds Festival and jetting off to Texas to play South by South West.
