Southern Counties East round-up: VCD retain top spot, Josh Oliver scores a hat-trick for Whitstable and Bearsted put five past Kennington

Josh Oliver scored a first-half hat-trick as Whitstable won 4-2 at Hollands & Blair.

Oliver struck twice in two minutes midway through the half and completed his treble in added time after Archie Hatcher added a third for the visitors.

Blair replied through Charlie Weston and an injury-time strike from Charlie Sheringham.

Bearsted were the day’s biggest winners, beating Kennington 5-0 at Honey Lane.

Connor French scored twice inside 15 minutes and Jesse Darko made it three before half-time.

Eniola Hassan’s second-half double completed the scoring as Kevin Stevens’ side climbed to fifth.

Kennington remain winless after five games.

Holmesdale moved up to second after coming from a goal down to beat Erith & Belvedere.

Freddie Baker gave the Deres a half-time lead but Lewis Heywood-Oriogun levelled and Mecca Samuels completed a 2-1 win.

Late goals from Courtney Barrington, Armani-Jordan Martin and Perez Goumou saw Rusthall beaten 3-0 by visitors Fisher.

Snodland Town drew 1-1 at home to Sutton Athletic.
