Paul Bowden Brown: "I couldn't take up the challenge with another manager"

Chairman Paul Bowden-Brown has given Maidstone United management team Alan Walker and Lloyd Hume his ringing endorsement, declaring that if they went, so would he.

Within hours of the club winning the battle for Ryman League Premier Division survival at Folkestone, Mr Bowden-Brown, the club's major shareholder, underlined his faith in the partnership.

He said: "I couldn't take up the challenge with another manager. If they were to go, I would have to consider my own position.

"I want stability above all else. If they went it would mean I've made a big mistake. That's a major statement which I wouldn't have made if I didn't have rock-solid faith in the pair."
