Stones come from behind to claim win

Maidstone United 2 Godalming Town 1

MAIDSTONE UNITED extended their unbeaten run to 10 games after a 2-1 victory over Godalming in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday.

The Stones fell behind on 25 minutes when Glen Stanley scored with a stunning 25-yard volley.

But Maidstone equalised five minutes later when the Godalming keeper lost sight of Criag Roser's cross in the sunlight and Lynden Rowland headed the ball into an empty net.

The Stones upped the tempo in the second half throwing on Mo Takaloo and Alex Tiesse and the winner came in the 72nd minute when Sam Tydeman's corner was met with a towering header by Errison Ahwan.
