Maidstone v Harlow
Maidstone United go into Saturday’s home game with Harlow in confident mood after an unbeaten start to the season.
The Stones are at full strength for their third game against Essex opposition in a week after the opening day 2-0 win at Heybridge and the 0-0 draw with Canvey Island at Bourne Park on Tuesday night.
Alan Walker and Lloyd Hume’s side face a busy Bank Holiday schedule with a game at Hastings United following on Monday afternoon.
Hume said: “We’ve had Harlow watched and they they are not a lot different to how they were last season.
“Like a lot of teams in the league they are Jekyll and Hyde, they play direct but we have got the players to deal with that.”He added: “We have got no injury worries and go into the game full of optimism. We want to get six points from the two games - on paper we could and should win both games.
“If we don’t it is because we have not performed to our ability.”
New striker Meshach Nugent could be on the bench again on Saturday but will not be risked as he recovers from a groin injury.
“He’s still a week away,” Hume said: “We just want to get him involved.”
Left back Roland Edge left the field with a migraine on Tuesday but will be fit to play on Saturday.
Harlow began with a 1-1 home draw with Sutton United before a 2-0 loss at Tonbridge on Tuesday.
