Stones forward back for Harrow test

Maidstone v Harrow Borough

STRIKER Lynden Rowland is set to return as Maidstone attempt to climb into mid-table respectability with victory tonight at home to Harrow Borough.

Rowland missed Saturday's 2-1 win over bottom club Leyton with a calf strain but central defender Mario McNish is doubtful with a hamstring strain.

Joint-manager Alan Walker admitted that it was taking longer than anticipated for the side to acclimatise to life in the Ryman League Premier Division following two consecutive promotions.

He conceded: "It is such a big step up in standard. While our home form has been good - and I hope it stays the same against Harrow - away from home we've been absymal and we really have to improve on that."

Harrow's visit sees the return to the area of former Stones' favourite Ken Charlery who is on the club's coaching staff. Tonight's match kicks off at 7.45pm at Bourne Park.
