Maidstone United joint-boss Lloyd Hume bemoaned the Stones' luck after they were handed a tough tie in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
After victory over Ryman League Premier Division rivals Tooting & Mitcham at Bourne Park on Saturday, United have been given a home tie against Blues Square South side Fisher Athletic at Bourne Park on Saturday, September 27.
It will be a reunion of sorts for Hume and joint-boss Alan Walker who were in charge at Fisher in the 1999/00 season.
Hume said: "It is a very difficult draw. They are a Conference South side which is the highest level we could possibly have drawn. We had the same in the last round with Tooting & Mitcham. We have not really had any luck.
"You want to test yourself againat the best in the cup but you want to wait three or four rounds before you do it."
He added: "That said I am confident that if we perform to our maximum ability then I believe we can get a result. We know a fair bit about them, we know their manager. It is an interesting draw."
Fisher are 17th in Blue Square South with just two wins from eight league games.
They are yet to score on the road in the league and have lost 3-0 in each of their three games on the road.
Stones are fourth in their division but have won only two league games at Bourne Park in 2008.
