Maidstone United have signed former Football League striker Yemi Odubade following his release by Eastleigh.
Odubade, 32, played league football for Yeovil and Stevenage in a career that started with a prolific spell at Eastbourne Town and included three years in the Conference with Oxford United.
The forward, who has also played for Eastbourne Borough, Newport County and Gateshead, left Eastleigh last week after 22 goals in 136 appearances.
He could make his debut when Maidstone meet Guiseley at the Gallagher tomorrow (Saturday).
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “Yem’s someone we’ve known about for a long time.
“We’ve been looking at adding to the squad - you saw the other night, it was very thin on the ground - and I think he’s someone who’s got the experience at this level, and above, and I just feel he’ll add to the squad and something different to what we’ve got.
“He’s still got that desire to come in and do well and push on so we’re delighted to have him on board.”
Odubade, who cost Oxford £25,000 a decade ago, hopes his game appeals to United supporters.
He said: “I don’t stop, whether it’s the first minute, whether it’s the 91st minute, I give my all. If the fans like that then, fingers crossed, they like me.”
