Abingdon United v Maidstone
MAIDSTONE will aim to make it six games without defeat when they travel to Abingdon United on Saturday for an FA Trophy second round tie.
Stones will be without Craig Roser - who is getting married in Wales - and Lee Shearer (suspended) for the cup tie, while Ben Lewis (knee) and Errison Ahwan (hamstring) face late fitness tests.
Walker said: "We will be putting out the strongest team we can. I would be lying if I said the FA Trophy was as important to us as the league.
"But the competition goes national after this round and it’s a real opportunity to raise the profile of the club and get some money into the coffers."
Maidstone go into the Abingdon game on a high after goals from Louis Cumbers and Shearer earned them a 2-1 win at Ashford.
Defeat would have seen them slip into the Ryman League Premier Division relegation zone and Walker said victories like Saturday’s were vital.
"There are two leagues within this league, with the haves in one and the have-nots in the other. Unfortunately, we are in the have-nots category and that means we have to beat the teams around us and finish as high top of our mini-league."
