Six Maidstone players have been told they are free to leave the club.
The Stones are circulating names as new boss Harry Wheeler rings the changes.
They haven't been made public yet but Wheeler, speaking after Saturday's win at Braintree, said: "I had a chat with six of them yesterday and sat down and said what we feel and you’re not in our plans, etc.
"It’s never nice, it’s not easy but it’s football, it’s not personal.
"They’re all great lads, we’ll continue to help them, they’re welcome to come and train until they move on and get clubs and that’s what we’ll do."
Maidstone need to let players go after making five new signings on Friday.
Lawrie Wilson, Olu Durojaiye, Jack Doyle, Jake Cassidy and Norman Wabo arrived, adding to the earlier loan signing of Billericay captain Simon Walton.
Wheeler has been backed in the market and the manager said: "That’s great and I’ve got to say thanks to the board.
"The board have been brilliant, they’ve backed everything I’ve wanted to do.
"They’ve not stopped anything, they’ve been very supportive, as they said they would be, and their actions have portrayed their words."
