Maidstone United v Kingstonian
MAIDSTONE are on the verge of securing the Ryman League Division 1 South title despite not winning a league game since March.
The Stones know that two wins in their final three league games will see them complete back-to-back titles after last year’s Kent League success.
Maidstone held on to top spot during midweek despite not playing as Tooting & Mitcham could only draw 2-2 at home to Walton Casuals.
Joint-boss Alan Walker said: "It seems like our name is written on the title. Every chance that someone has had to overtake us has not been taken and it’s really in our hands now – we can even afford to lose one of the games although we’re all aiming for three wins from three games.
"I expect us to win all three games but there’s an extra cushion for us now if we do slip up."
Defender Ryan Royston, who missed the Met Police game due to holiday, returns for the Kingstonian clash on Saturday and is likely to replace Lee Shearer in the starting line-up.
