Maidstone full-back Nathan Paul has had the red card he received in the derby win at Ramsgate last week over-turned by the FA.
Paul was shown a straight red after a seemingly innocuous challenge with Rams full-back Joe Dowley in the first half of the Stones' 2-1 Ryman League Premier Division win at Southwood last Tuesday.
He was dismissed by referee Constantine Hatzidakis but the official later reviewed the decision and offered to back an appeal by the club.
Paul's three-match ban - which was due to begin after Saturday's FA Cup first round tie with Tooting & Mitcham - was over-turned by the FA's Regulatory Commission on Tuesday.
A Stones statement said: "The football club would like to formally thank the staff at the FA’s Disciplinary Department for their guidance and advice in this matter, particularly the advice offered by Disciplinary Manager Mark Dennis.
"Thanks must also be offered to the match referee (who) was prepared to entertain the views of club officials regarding the dismissal immediately after the game.
"In the days following the game, Mr Hatzidakis contacted us after having reviewed the incident on the club website, to inform the club that he would be supporting our appeal as he believed that the footage of the incident showed his initial decision to be incorrect.
"Maidstone United would like to publicly thank Mr Hatzidakis for his high degree of integrity and professionalism shown throughout the appeal process."
The Stones will not appeal the red card shown to midfielder Jay Saunders in the 1-0 defeat to Tonbridge Angels on Saturday.
