Maidstone boss Jay Saunders has boosted his attacking options with the signing of Leatherhead forward Vas Karagiannis.
The 23-year-old, who is second in the Ryman Premier Division’s top goalscorers this season, has been a long term target for boss Jay Saunders.
In a season and a half with the Tanners, Karagiannis scored 35 times and has attracted interest from numerous clubs.
Born in Greece, he spent time in France before moving to England to join Welling United in February 2014. A move to Fetcham Grove followed during the close season.
Vas has already played in this season’s FA Trophy competition, so the earliest Stones fans will get to see the latest addition is the following weekend for Maidstone’s visit to Hayes & Yeading United. He made two appearances for United in October 2014.
Stones are second in Vanarama National League South - seven points behind Kent rivals Ebbsfleet United - but have struggled for goals since winning promotion with just 20 in 20 league games.
