Maidstone have signed defender/midfielder Michael Phillips from Crystal Palace.
And on a busy day at the Gallagher, United have also turned Blair Turgott’s loan from Boreham Wood into a permanent transfer.
Phillips, 20, joins the Stones after leaving Premier League Palace by mutual consent.
He was tipped for big things at Selhurst Park, playing for the Eagles in the Asia Trophy against Liverpool last summer and making the bench four times.
He’s also captained their development squad for the past two years.
Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “I’ve seen Michael play for the under-23s and am delighted to get him on board - he’ll add to the squad for the final run-in.
“He can play in a few positions and has good experience having been in and around the first team.”
Turgott was due to be on loan for the rest of the season but has now signed for Maidstone and could also be around next year.
Saunders said: “Blair has done well since coming in on loan and will only do better with a run of games.
“He was under a call-back at Boreham Wood, so this way we know he’s our player and we’ve got an option for next season.”
