Maidstone have completed the signing of defender Rob Swaine from Chelmsford.
The deal for the centre-half sees Stones boss Harry Wheeler reunited with a player he worked with in the Bostik Premier at Billericay last season.
Clarets chairman Steve Shore announced Swaine, 30, would be joining the Stones almost a week ago but the move has only gone through today.
Shore told chelmsfordcityfc.com: “Rob made a big impact when he joined us from Billericay Town but his desire to return to full-time football and the lure of Harry Wheeler at Maidstone United meant that he decided his future was there.
“As we all know, once someone has made a decision like that the best option is to let them go so Rob left us last Tuesday (16th) and we wish him all the best at Maidstone.”
Swaine captained Bromley to the Conference South title in 2015 and was a key man in their early days in the National League before joining Billericay in January last year.
Meanwhile, the Stones have extended Jordan Wynter's loan deal at Dartford until the new year.
