Trialists Aaron Simpson and Ellis Iandolo have signed for Maidstone but striker Jordan Casey has returned to Herne Bay.
Simpson will challenge Stephen Butcher and Jack Sullivan at right-back, while Iandolo adds to Stones’ attacking options.
United boss Jay Saunders said: “I don’t see why Aaron and Ellis can’t play games. I’ve made them aware the team is picked on merit.
“Aaron’s done well at right-back in the friendlies and the competition with Butch and Sulli will be good for him.
“Ellis used to be at Gillingham and has played for our under-21s and academy.
“He reminds me of Charley Robertson in that he’s the kind of player who makes things happen. He’s only 16 but he’s bright on the ball and has a good left foot.”
Casey started pre-season at the Gallagher but Saunders added: “I spoke to Sam Denly (Herne Bay boss) and said I wouldn't sign Jordan unless he was pushing for a start.
“I don’t think he would have been but we’ll keep an eye on him. He’s worked hard to get himself fit and to be stuck on the bench not playing won’t do him any good.”
Stones host Sutton United in their next pre-season friendly on Saturday and go to Hythe on Tuesday.
